As I keep growing up in life, I tend to eliminate some things in my life and even at times people. A revelation always comes to me showing me whether the things I’m doing or not doing will contribute to me achieving my goals or arriving closely to my destiny.
Change is the one thing that is permanent in life and at times, changing can be tough, confusing and even painful. However, the question is this; is it worth it? Changing the things you do, the places you go and even the people you hang around with. All these determine where your life journey is headed to and also the individual you eventually become.
As I have been analyzing all this, I came up with something called the 3 C’s of life which I’ve been taught by great people I’ve met in life.
They are ; Chances, Choices and Consequences.
Life is interesting. It gives us chances and opportunities to do a lot of both good and bad things but very few of us see the good thus focusing on the negatives. We all have a chance to be great,we all have a chance to make maximum use of our 24hours in a day which we spend in life. We all have a chance to explore life and be happy. Chances in life are plenty! At times we even have 2 or more chances to do things the right or correct way or clean our messes. The question remains; how do we use our chances? Be courageous and step out of the comfort zone and grab the beautiful chances that life has to offer. I like what Danica Patrick says, “Take those chances and you can achieve greatness, whereas if you go conservative, you’ll never know. I truly believe what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Even if you fail, learning and moving on is sometimes the best thing.”
From Chances, we make choices. We have a choice to say yes or No to something. A choice to start something or not to. A choice to rise to greatness or rot in mediocrity. All these are choices which we can make for ourselves. I am where I am today because of the sum total of the choices I made. The choices you make, Make you! It is therefore necessary that we choose only those that will uplift us and help us arrive to our destinies.
I read somewhere that some people create their own storms then get upset when it rains; this simply means that you are free to make whatever choice you want, but you are not free from the consequences of the choice.
Every choice, whether good or bad has consequences. You have a chance to go to school and you choose to be a performing student then the consequences is that you will have to study to achieve big. We have a chance to become whatever we want to become in life but the choice we make on becoming it has got consequences for it in our lives.
All this reminds me of the things I stated at the beginning of this article; I had a chance to become great in life and I decided and chose to follow that path and the consequences is that I have to eliminate doing some things and also some people as well. This brings me to the 3 C’s of life.
